Whine Whine, 2008-01-19
I spoiled myself by starting off watching season 6. I have just watched the first 4 episodes of season 1 and there is a huge difference. The bad guys are just as clever but there is very little in the way of the blockbuster action in season 6. Also Jack's wife is a whiner from hell and his daughter is nothing special. The old cliche of kidnapped wife and daughter does not help.

Hooked after 1 Episode of Season 6, 2007-07-19
I heard my co-workers talking about this show and watched the Season 6 opener about three years later because it was a slow night and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Before the season ended, I bought, borrowed or stole (not really stole) each preceeding season. Season 1 and 3 I could have missed but 2,4,5,and 6 are FANTASTIC. Special mention to Season 2. Best show ever. My feeling is that it's critics feel a general need to criticize. If you enjoy action and very intelligent stories, this is a show for you.
