Customer reviews: Frasier from start to finish., 1999-05-14 Did you ever wonder if any of the cast really like opera music and if so who? Or where did the radio station's name come from? It's all here! This is a great book for all those who want to know more about the behind-the-scenes goings on at Frasier. I can now watch the show with new insight into how it was made!
Er, did we read the same book?, 1999-05-06 I don't understand why everyone else who has rated this book loves it so much. For one thing, it is not "A Channel Four Book" as it proudly boasts on the cover, it is an American book just with a new cover (examples of this can be found in the interview with Jane Leeves where the author asks whether Frasier is shown in the UK). Another thing is that it's out of date, the book ends at the end of series 3 and we are now at series 6 in this country. My next complaint is that the chapters are too disjointed - you just finish reading about the writers and it skips on to a bit about Moose (Eddie) and his handler, there is no continuity. Finally, it doesn't actually include enough bits of Frasier, there is only one full script and a few quotations - the rest of the book is mostly concerned with the dull process of writing an episode. I know all the other people who have rated this book like it but don't buy it, it's really not worth your money. The only thing this book did for me is confirm what I thought about "official" products.
