Customer reviews: Cooking with Friends, 2009-09-08 I'd say this book is a bit more sweet than savoury, you'd do alot better with delia and such, i say this because the ingredients are hard to get hold of, i find, as the book is highly american. The measuring system isalso involving 'cups' and the phrases describing method arent always clear.. However for a hardcore friends fan its got it all, a cheerful book to have whilst your baking with a quippy remark every page, some read-up on the actors we love so, and even frequents quotes from the series itself which always makes me happy.
Great US Recipe Book, 2001-08-01 We initially bought this book as we wanted a recipe for Blueberry pancakes and couldn't find one anywhere else - needless to say, being an American book, the recipe was great (if a little complex because of the US measurements).
Since then we've pretty much tried all the recipes and they are all brilliant - much, much better than most of the other cookery books we own. The meatball recipe is a partiular hit, and if you have the desire to re-create any popular american food in the UK, then this is the book for you. Once you work out (or buy) cup measurements and sticks of butter, then the book is easy to follow, and so far (touch wood) we have had 100% success. The 'Friends' quotes and funnies in the book make it a little lighter to read than most others of this type - but don't be put off by the branding, professional chefs submitted the recipes. One of few we would buy again! Customers who bought this item also bought:
