Customer reviews: Usual brilliance, 2006-04-03 I have read all of Keith Topping's guides to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel and have found them all to be brilliant. This is no exception, it has all the usual categories covering everything from who's wearing what to continuity errors. I know a lot of fans don't like to think that there favourite shows get it wrong sometimes but I love reading up on the little mistakes and seeing how many of them I noticed myself. gotta say Keith Topping is certainly eagle eyed cos alot of them I don't notice when I'm watching the shows. Although it doesn't have the cast interviews and behind the scenes stuff of the official guides this book more than makes up for that by using interviews with various cast members from magazines and online web postings to provide a bit of an insight into the show. Also need to mention that I love the sections that tell you what else cast members and guest stars have been in, there's nothing more annoying that watching a programme and spending the whole episode thinking, where have I seen him/her before!!
If you're a fan of Buffy you'll love this book. Absolutely essential Buffy companion!, 2004-06-12 Keith Topping's previous two volumes covering seasons 1-6 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer have already gained a dedicated cult following among aficionadoes. Now comes the third and final volume, and worth every penny. Topping's tomes may appear small and perhaps even cheap, but once any Buffy fan starts reading this, it won't leave their bedside. Amusingly and informatively written, 'Slayer' dissects each episode of the final season, satisfyingly packed with behind-the-scenes facts, commentaries on the show's story arcs and history, not to mention running gags, pop culture references, gaffes and goofs, show analysis and a ratings system. Hard to put down and invaluable for those who can't quite let Buffy go, 'Slayer' should entertain in front of, or away from, those DVD boxsets you've already got. You haven't? They're 30 quid! Do it now!!
