I have loved regular Yahtzee since childhood and I still enjoy playing it with my children ages 8 and up. Since my younger children want to join in, but do not understand the concepts, I thought I'd give this a try. It's the first time I've bought a "junior" version of a game and I really didn't see how Yahtzee could be adapted to younger kids.
Well, the game design is ingenious. It is easy enough for my just-turned-four year old daughter to play, but it has the "feel" of regular Yahtzee so it is not mind-numbingly boring for me. Each dice has pictures of characters from the Toy Story movie. You try to get as many of one picture as you can (Woody is wild) in three rolls, then put the matching, color-coded chip on a playing board.
